3D face reconstruction is a fundamental Computer Vision problem of extraordinary difficulty. This website is an interactive online demo of a paper “Large Pose 3D Face Reconstruction from a Single Image via Direct Volumetric Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) Regression” by the University of Nottingham. The paper addresses the ability to reconstruct a 3D recreation of a person’s face using a digital image of that person.
You can test it out using their sample pictures of people like President Barack Obama or actor Elijah Wood or you can upload your own pictures and see what happens!
